6-a-Side Youth Tournament
Alhamdulillah we held our winter youth inter-Masajid 6-a-side football tournament for ages 12-16 on Saturday 18 December 2021 at Wadham Lodge (Kitchener Road, E17 4LL). Inheritance Awareness

Mental Health Training
In July 2018 WFU teamed up with Inspirited Minds, an organisation working on Mental Health awareness, to hold a 1 day seminar on the topic. Ramadan Schools Advice Pack
In the build up to Ramadan 2018 and 2019, WFU prepared, printed and distributed a Ramadan fasting advice pack to all Waltham Forest state schools. This pack contained religious advice for staff, pupils and parents with matters related to the month of Ramadan and fasting, in particular dealing with the long fasting hours and exams. Ramadan Noise Nuisance
WFU launched a campaign in Ramadan 2018 to tackle the issue of noise nuisance from Masajid during Ramadan especially at the times of Iftar and Taraweeh. Many Masajid in Waltham Forest are situated in residential areas and noise caused by attendees to the Masjid often has a negative impact on those living in the area around the Masjid. Mosques Open Day
On 18th February 2018 several Masajid in Waltham Forest opened their doors to non-Muslim visitors as part of the nationwide ‘Visit My Mosque’ initiative. Sisters’ Accessibility

Covid-19 Ghusl Response
During the unprecedented situation of Covid-19 in the UK, WFU were heavily involved in the formation of a funeral response team within the Borough. Online Zakaat Workshops
In 2019 a presentation on the Fiqh of Zakat was created by WFU following a detailed refresher program for Ulama. This was delivered in several Masajid before or during Ramadan. The presentations proved to be very educational and beneficial to participants.
